The Use of Compressed Air in a Pneumatic Threading Machine

Pneumatic threading machines also contain a compressed air unit. This is made up of a mist lubricator and a compressed air filter which can be adjusted using the upper adjustment knob. To increase the pressure, the knob must be turned clockwise and to decrease the pressure, the knob must be turned anticlockwise. To ensure that the pressure remains constant, the knob can be fixed in the starting position to prevent accidents. When the pressure is below 0.7kg/cm2, dust and water are automatically removed so the compressed air remains filtered. The purpose of the mist lubricator is to mix the oil with the compressed air and the amount of oil can be changed via the oil adjustment screw.
