Autumn is here and although this is a season that looks very beautiful, it can also be a dangerous time for people who are elderly. Although it is important to get out in the fresh air and enjoy it, as well as getting some exercise, there are ways that you can reduce the risk of falls in these months of the year.

To have more support and confidence when going out, look into mobility aids and WAV vehicles from places like Clarke mobility. This will help with getting out but also gives safety and support.

For exercise, try some indoor exercises when the weather is particularly bad. Something like aqua aerobics is a great idea or do some fitness classes online from the comfort of your living room. There are lots that are specifically designed for older people.
