Oh … the time to go to sleep. What it costs for parents to send them to bed! That is a little more time to play if a story if a song … and time goes by. In the end, even if you try to put them to bed at 9 pm, they end up sleeping at 10:30 pm. There is no remedy. At the time should the kid’s education go to school according to their age?
Many times I have considered if it will not be too late. Or maybe I insist on putting them to bed too soon. And although I know that every child is a world and not everyone needs to sleep exactly the same, I have managed to find out by different experts on the subject, how many hours children should sleep according to their age. And best of all: what time should school-age children go to according to their age?

What is the meaning of being responsible for children?
Responsibility as a social value is linked to commitment. The responsibility guarantees the fulfillment of the acquired commitments and generates confidence and tranquility among the people. All responsibility is closely linked to obligation and duty. Both concepts constitute the raw material of responsibility.Through games or group activities, it is easier and more enjoyable to kid’s education a sense of responsibility and they will be more willing to understand their ‘duties and obligations’. Being responsible in the global sense of the word means:
Responsibility towards oneself
I am responsible for making my wishes come true, for my choices and my actions, for my personal happiness, for choosing the values the kid’s education go to school according to their age according to which I live and for raising the degree of my self-esteem.
Responsibility towards the tasks to be developed:
I am responsible for the way in which I distribute my time and perform my duties and pending tasks.
Responsibility for consumption:
I am responsible for my expenses, to take care of my things and to choose the rules of Christmas, birthdays …
Responsibility towards society:
I am responsible for my behavior with other people: colleagues, family, friends and to communicate correctly with others.
Table to know what time children should go to school according to their age
Not all children need the same sleep. It depends on many factors. One of them, of course, is age. Thus, while an 18-month-old baby needs to sleep about 14 hours, a 10-year-old child needs 9 hours. Based on this information, and the time at which your child has to wake up, we have prepared an orientation chart for parents with questions about the best time to send their child to sleep. It is based on a chart that Wilson’s Elementary School in Kenosha (Wisconsin, USA) made public :
– Five years:
If your child is 5 years old, the first stage of primary school begins. Many changes. In the first few days, you may be more nervous and fall out sooner than usual. Or the other way around … by the nerves I cannot sleep and you have to help him. If you get up very early, at 6 in the morning, you should go to bed at 6:45 pm, or 6:45 pm, as you prefer. Yes, it seems impossible, it’s very early, but it’s the only way to make sure you sleep what you owe. If you get up later, at 8 o’clock, for example, it will be enough for you to go to bed at 8:30 p.m.
– Six years:
At age 6, you need fifteen minutes less sleep. If your child gets up at 7.30 in the morning to go to school, he can go to sleep at 8.30 pm.
– Seven years:
At seven years of age, your child needs almost 11 hours of sleep to perform properly in school. Try to sleep more than 10 hours. Although remember, that then the activity of each child during the day is different, and their needs for rest, too. Do not be overwhelmed if your seven-year-old does not sleep more than 10 hours. If you see him active and happy … he’ll be fine!
– Eight years:
According to experts, at this age children can sleep 10 and a half hours. But much sleepless. We always rely on an average. If your eight-year-old son has to get up very early to go to school (say at 6:30 a.m.), he will have to go to sleep at 8:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.
– Nine years:
From this age, children already need less sleep, and that the academic demands increase. Even so, it is still recommended that they sleep at least 10 hours. Do the calculation!
– Ten years:
Yes, the age at which they are already beginning to feel ‘older’, they will also require going to bed later. However, they still need about 10 hours of sleep. If your 10-year-old son gets up at 7 a.m. to go to school, he should go to sleep at 9:00 p.m.
– Eleven and twelve years:
Now, yes, your child no longer needs to comply rigorously with those 10 hours of sleep. But they should sleep more than 8 hours. Maybe 9 hours of sleep is enough for them.Keep in mind that this table may seem unreal. Actually, it would be ideal, but it is enough for us to ‘get close’ to the recommended sleeping hours. These are between 9 and 11 hours minimum for children between 5 and 11 years. If you notice that your child has symptoms of lack of sleep (drowsiness during the day, excessive tiredness, concentration problems …), check their schedules to go to bed.
Kid’s education is a beautiful task, although difficult! The other day they sent me a story of those that circulate on the Internet: it was about a teacher who learned to really educate when she knew how to deal with a conflicted student. Behind her sloppiness and bad behavior, she was able to discover, not without effort, that she was hiding a dramatic story and an intelligent and noble child, eager for someone who knew how to lend a hand. She knew how to see his courage and helped him flourish. From that moment on, she received the honorary title of ‘my best teacher’ for a child who was able to find happiness and the direction of her life.
