And best of all: what time should school-age children go to according to their age?

Not all children need the same sleep. It depends on many factors. One of them, of course, is age. Thus, while an 18-month-old baby needs to sleep about 14 hours, a 10-year-old child needs 9 hours. – Five years:
If your child is 5 years old, the first stage of primary school begins. Many changes. In the first few days, you may be more nervous and fall out sooner than usual. Or the other way around … by the nerves I cannot sleep and you have to help him. If you get up very early, at 6 in the morning, you should go to bed at 6:45 pm, or 6:45 pm, as you prefer. Yes, it seems impossible, it’s very early, but it’s the only way to make sure you sleep what you owe. If you get up later, at 8 o’clock, for example, it will be enough for you to go to bed at 8:30 p.m.
– Six years:
At age 6, you need fifteen minutes less sleep. If your child gets up at 7.30 in the morning to go to school, he can go to sleep at 8.30 pm.
– Seven years:
At seven years of age, your child needs almost 11 hours of sleep to perform properly in school. Try to sleep more than 10 hours. Although remember, that then the activity of each child during the day is different, and their needs for rest, too. Do not be overwhelmed if your seven-year-old does not sleep more than 10 hours. If you see him active and happy … he’ll be fine!
– Eight years:
According to experts, at this age children can sleep 10 and a half hours. But much sleepless. We always rely on an average. If your eight-year-old son has to get up very early to go to school (say at 6:30 a.m.), he will have to go to sleep at 8:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.
– Nine years:
From this age, children already need less sleep, and that the academic demands increase. Even so, it is still recommended that they sleep at least 10 hours. Do the calculation!
– Ten years:
Yes, the age at which they are already beginning to feel ‘older’, they will also require going to bed later. However, they still need about 10 hours of sleep. If your 10-year-old son gets up at 7 a.m. to go to school, he should go to sleep at 9:00 p.m.
– Eleven and twelve years:
Now, yes, your child no longer needs to comply rigorously with those 10 hours of sleep. But they should sleep more than 8 hours. Maybe 9 hours of sleep is enough for them.Keep in mind that this table may seem unreal. Actually, it would be ideal, but it is enough for us to ‘get close’ to the recommended sleeping hours. These are between 9 and 11 hours minimum for children between 5 and 11 years. If you notice that your child has symptoms of lack of sleep (drowsiness during the day, excessive tiredness, concentration problems …), check their schedules to go to bed.
